Richard is a lifelong resident of Morris County and has been a member of the New Jersey Bar since 1989. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, N.J. in 1986 in English and Labor Studies, and his law degree from George Washington University National Law Center in 1989.
Mr. Beilin concentrates his practice in litigation, with an emphasis in estate and probate litigation, commercial litigation and landlord-tenant matters. He has extensive experience in commercial and residential leasing.
Mr. Beilin is the Township Attorney for Allamuchy and Frelinghuysen, and affordable housing counsel to the Borough of Rockaway. He regularly attends meetings of the governing bodies of municipalities and homeowners’ associations, and has extensive experience in all facets of local government and condominium/homeowners’ association law, including public and private contracting, drafting of governing documents, land use and prerogative writ litigation, tax appeals, leasing and employment matters and collections.
Mr. Beilin has edited the Case Law Digest on real property law for the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Real Property newsletter. He has spoken to realtors’ groups on bankruptcy and foreclosure issues, and to builders' groups on the Consumer Fraud Act and contracting issues.
Mr. Beilin served for six years on the District V-B Attorney Ethics Committee.
